Abstract: Intelligent driving control technology or advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) is a new trend in automotive electronic control technical development. A function- development technical-platform was established independently by Dongfeng Motor Corporation of China for intelligent driving control systems of vehicle control strategy to be appropriate for drivers' habit in China. The platform is based on Fengshen-A60, a Dongfeng passenger vehicle, using single radar or a stereo camera as the environmental sensor. Based on this platform, some functions of driving control strategies were proposed such as the adaptive cruise control (ACC) and emergency brake assist (EBA) of a cascade control structure with forward control. A control algorithm was used
to program environment with Matlab/simulink based on the rapid prototyping system. Ground tests validate these functions. Therefore, the platform can be used for development and testing of integrated chassis control systems and vehicle comprehensive control systems in the future.
