World Movement on Development and Diffusion for Next-Generation Vehicles

  • About author:Sekio HIGUCHI [Japan],is a visiting researcher of the Environmental Research Institute of Waseda University of Japan, representative ofthe Japan-China Automotive Association, fellow of theSociety of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc. (JSAE),the former executive director of JSAE, the former general manager of Environmental and Safety Engineering Department of Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., the former senior manager of Vehicle Research Laboratory researching the advanced technologies (e.g. technologies and vehicles in the 21st century, ITS (intelligent transport systems) and the autonomously controlled vehicle), the former managing director of the Nissan European Technology Center (Brussels) S.A., the former chairman of the steering committee of Japan Electric Vehicle Association and also of Association of Electronic Technology for Automobile Traffic and Driving. He delivered lectures at several universities in Japan and was appointed a member of the government’s councils on the technical standard. He specializes in overall automotive technologies, vehicle product planning, new transportation systems, environmental/ safety technologies and the technical regulations, overseas projects and new business developments.

摘要: :空氣污染、全球變暖和不斷增長的能源需求,是人类目前面對的三大問題。汽車的電动化有
望缓解或部分解決这些问题。一些主要國家已經制定了雄心勃勃的未來目標:到2020 年,中國將有
500 萬輛電動汽車上路,日本國200 萬輛,德國100 萬輛;而美國,到2015 年,將有100 萬輛。這
些國家正在熱心地開發先進電池、燃料電池汽車、安全汽車、零碰撞汽車、聯網汽車和自主汽車;此外,
還包括“車到家、家到車”系統、用於居住社區的超小型汽車和緊急呼叫系統。借助於這些廣泛領域
的技術,人类有望創建一個新的產業乃至一個可持續性的社會。

Abstract: World people are simultaneously dealing with the air pollution, global warming and increasing energy
demand. So, the automobile electrification is expected to be a promising solution in major countries to overcome
the worldwide stringent regulation of the fuel saving after 2020. Their ambitious goals of the electric vehicles on
roads in 2020 are five million in China, two million in Japan, one million in Germany, and one million in USA in
2015. Those countries are keen on developing advanced batteries, fuel-cell vehicles, safety vehicles, collisionfree
vehicles, connected vehicles and autonomous vehicles, moreover, vehicle-to-home/ home-to-vehicle
systems, ultra-small mobility used in residential areas, and emergency call systems. Through technologies from
these wide fields, people are aiming at creating a new business and even a sustainable society.
